Kai & Anne Olderog
Inspired by their three children, Kai & Anne Olderog founded Acton Academy Essex to create a learning environment where curiosity thrives, creativity is celebrated, and children are empowered to take charge of their own education. After seeing traditional school diminish their oldest child’s spark, they decided to open a a school that breaks free from the limitations of traditional education—one that prepares young learners for a meaningful and fulfilling life that is driven by a deeper sense of purpose.
Crystal Martucci
Crystal Martucci is the dedicated Sparks Guide at Acton Academy, bringing warmth, patience, and a deep love for early childhood education. As a mother of four and an experienced teacher in elementary schools and daycares, she understands the importance of creating a nurturing space where young learners feel safe, supported, and inspired. While she helps children build a strong foundation in early academics, her true passion lies in guiding them to develop character traits like kindness, empathy, and inclusivity. Crystal’s gentle encouragement and unwavering belief in each child’s potential make the Sparks Studio a place where curiosity and confidence bloom.
Tristen Armstrong
Tristan Armstrong is a passionate artist and dedicated Guide in the Elementary Studio at Acton Academy. With a deep love for creativity and self-expression, she inspires young learners to think independently, take ownership of their learning, and embrace challenges with confidence. Tristan strives to be a supportive and encouraging presence, helping each child develop the resilience and independence they need to thrive—not just in school, but in life. Through her guidance, students learn to ask big questions, explore their unique talents, and grow into confident, curious, and self-motivated learners.
Donna Frohnapfel
Donna Frohnapfel is the guide for both the Middle School/Launchpad Studios at Acton Academy, creating a balance between structure and independence. With a deep belief in the power of self-directed learning, she ensures that students have the support they need while giving them plenty of freedom to take ownership of their education. Donna fosters an environment of trust, accountability, and self-discipline, encouraging learners to set ambitious goals and hold themselves to high standards. With empathy and guidance, she helps students navigate challenges, develop resilience, and build the confidence to lead their own learning journey.
