A Note About Our Calendar

The AAEC calendar is organized in 6-week sessions, which conclude with a family event called The Exhibition of Learning.  Each 6-week session focuses on one topic area (science, government, architecture to name a few), and is followed by a one week break.  Occassionally, a session is 3 weeks long.  Our summer break is shorter than most schools as the research shows that this reduces the brain drain and consequently, students are better prepared at the start of each school year.
